What is Belly Fat?

Right here, you will get your personal report that will show you how to achieve the results you are looking for.

The belly fat is the fat around the belly. It is as simple as that.  Lose belly fat now!

As we age our metabolism slows down which causes the amount of fat in our bodies to increase. Unfortunately women tend to have a higher proportion of fat than men. Women particularly tend to get it after menopause when fat distribution tends to shift more to the abdomen. This is due to hormonal changes that can break causing this type of body fat deposits to accumulate.

For women it can do a lot more harm than just expanding your waistline; too much of belly fat accumulation can increase the risks of many horrible diseases such as:
  • Heart and Vascular Diseases
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Breast Cancer and
  • Metabolic Syndrome

For men, on the other hand, belly fat is usually known as the 'beer gut' or 'pot belly'. The biggest weight gain in men usually occurs around the belly. Beer sure is a factor in belly fat in men. According to statistics, there has been a link that has been made between drinking too much beer and the gain of belly fat found; however, it isn't exactly clear why drinking too much beer causes increased belly fat particularly in men. (It is known though that beer is high in calories). As with women, the increased belly weight in men can also lead to diseases; here are few of them:
  • Diabetes
  • Heart and Vascular Diseases
  • Sleep Apnia
  • Metabolic Syndrome and
  • High blood Pressure

Certain types of cancer in men include the famous prostate cancer.

Let us be realistic though; we do need a certain amount of fat in our diet. What we need to understand is that there are Good Fats and Bad Fats.
  • The Good Fats include the Omega-3 fish oil, sunflower oil, nuts, avocados and olive oil . These are also known as polyunsaturated / monounsaturated fatty acids.
  • The Bad Fats are found in Cheese, Eggs, Meat, Margarine,Coconut Oil, French Fries. These are also  known under the name of Saturated/Trans Fats.

We must learn to balance our diet and monitor our consumption of fat and calories. We need to learn to gain more muscle and lose fat.

There is more than one type of fat in our bellies. There are 2 types of  Belly Fat:
  • Visceral - this fat is stored around the liver and the other organs deeper in our bodies. This is also the fat that you can not see and the problem here is that this far in particular is the one we have to fear.
  • Subcutaneous - this is the other type of fat that is located between the skin and the abdominal wall. Even though this is the famous fat that everyone can see, it is less likely to be a health risk.

There are many causes that create belly fat;  it can be hereditary, hormonal, or you may just have a tendency to gain weight in that area. This is when the high caloric intake and lack of exercise also contribute to gain belly fat.

How do we get rid of  it?  Forget about doing hundreds of situps and/or crunches. These are practically useless for most people when it comes to losing weight in the belly. The exercise is not enough by itself to reduce the amount of calories we need to burn in order to lose fat. We must reduce our calorie intake and increase our exercises to lose belly fat
